Congratulations to our Weatherhaven team, especially Sweena Chatha, on winning First Place in the “Build the North” competition at the recent Arctic Summit 2026 hosted in Whitehorse, Yukon.

The theme of the Arctic Summit was “Securing Sovereignty and Investment” and brought together northern and circumpolar leaders to address the most pressing issues facing the Arctic today. The focus was was sovereignty, security, infrastructure and critical resources – advancing a vision for a resilient and self determined North. The “Build the North” pitch competition, sponsored by Dominion Dynamics, encouraged solution providers to submit innovations that could contribute to scaling Arctic capability. Our submission was a redeployable infrastructure solution that was modular, rapidly deployable, able to withstand a 16 lb snow load and tested (and proven by the Canadian military) to operate at -50 degrees C.
