Weatherhaven’s Series 4 shelter systems were engineered and installed in accordance with detailed layout drawings and method statements. Main corridors, ICU wards, recovery units, and examination rooms were assembled using the lightweight structural frames, insulation layers, and tensioned covers. Hard doors, anchoring systems, and secure end walls ensured durability and infection control. The modular design allowed simultaneous installation activities, accelerating progress while delivering a fully enclosed, climate-controlled medical environment.

Advanced Mechanical and Electrical Systems Ensured Clinical Reliability

Beyond structures, Weatherhaven delivered complete electrical reticulation, air circulation ducting, plumbing systems, and power distribution networks. Negative pressure ventilation and controlled airflow systems supported infection containment within isolation wards. Power and lighting layouts were precisely coordinated to medical requirements. Our integrated approach ensured that every shelter was not simply assembled, but fully functional, clinically safe, and ready for immediate patient intake upon commissioning.

Containerised Medical Facilities Expanded Operational Capacity

In addition to soft shelters, containerised units were mobilised and installed to house laboratories, sterilisation areas, pharmacies, ablutions, and support services. Using certified lifting plans, mobile cranes, and trained lifting supervisors, containers were precisely positioned and secured. This hybrid approach combined rapid-deploy shelters with robust modular infrastructure, creating a complete medical ecosystem capable of supporting frontline healthcare professionals in a high-demand emergency setting.

The project combined international expertise with significant local labour participation, integrating skilled and unskilled Mauritanian workers into the installation process. Under Weatherhaven supervision, local teams supported flooring, shelter assembly, logistics, and site operations. Comprehensive Testing and Commissioning Guaranteed Operational Readiness

Before handover, full testing and commissioning procedures were conducted by engineers and technicians to ensure compliance with specifications. Generator systems, electrical networks, ventilation, and structural integrity were inspected and validated. Risk assessments and safety controls governed every stage of execution. When the final clearance certificate was issued, the facility was fully operational, ready to provide immediate, life-saving healthcare services to the people of Mauritania.
