The latest iteration of the Army Warfighting Experiment (AWE) series, AWE20, intended to identify how the Army could exploit developments and the emerging technologies in the Agile Command, Control and Communication (Agile C3) space. Kicking-off in September 2019, Weatherhaven proposed the TRECC-T and RDMSS shelters as key enablers for the deployable infrastructure for AWE20. Considerable planning and organisation then went into developing the exercises for over 100 industry partners for the main live experimentation event in October 2020. During the two weeks of live experimentation based at Westdown Camp on Salisbury Plain, Weatherhaven’s TRECC-T shelter demonstrated its ability as an agile tactical unit during a variety of deployed exercises. Following the live experimentation, two visitor demonstration days for industry, invited guests and distinguished visitors days saw the TRECC-T on static display along with the RDMSSS shelter. In a year which saw few live events go ahead, the conducting of the live experimentation and industry days was in itself a huge achievement.
